RSA: Custom Air Handlers Designed for Demanding Applications

Ranging from 5,000 to 400,000 CFM, RSA air handlers can be designed by Governair's experienced engineers in virtually any size. This design flexibility is particularly suitable for use in hospitals, pharmaceutical firms, schools, food processing facilities, manufacturing plants, industrial clean rooms and upscale commercial office buildings.

RSA units are also the ideal companion for use with Governair's SCE Evaporative Condensing Chiller, providing building owners with single source job repsonsibility.

There are 12 basic models in the RSA product line, but with the inherent flexibility in the height, width and lenght of each model, they are best described by their range of air flow.

TopLine package units are custom assembled, fully factory tested, evacuated and precharged for ease of installation and maximum reliability. As both engineers and building owners have come to appreciate, they are also energy efficient and cost efficient to operate. TopLine units range from 5 to 500 tons, and are quiet, versatile and easy to maintain.

Governair's standard TL air cooled unit design is based on a 125 degree condensing temperature at 95 degree ambient, as opposed to standard commercial units which use 130 degree to 135 degree condensing temperatures at 95 degree ambient. This difference results in more than a 10 percent reduction in energy usage for the compressors, increasing their operational lives and reducing energy consumption. For the ultimate in energy efficiency, our TopLine evaporative condensing package units (TLE) or water cooled units (TLS) both operate at 105 degree condensing temperatures or lower.

There is no direct correlation between the sizes specified for TL air handlers and the condensing units. Additionally, different air tunnels can be selected to achieve the most effective design for the condensing units. For these reasons, the condensing units are sized by tonnage and all of the air tunnel data is related to cabinet size.

Governair's reliable SCE Chiller sets the standard for evaporative condensing package water chillers. An efficient, low cost, low noise, low maintenance chiller with a compact footprint, the SCE Chiller is smaller and quieter than comparable air cooled reciprocating chillers.

With a standard product line ranging from 45 to 265 nominal tons, the SCE Chiller is ideal for commercial office buildings and schools.
